Father Howard Lincoln urged the members of the Sacred Heart church, to do something for the 1,400 homeless children of Coachella Valley, sleeping in the streets on the cold hard grounds.



The Palm Desert Catholic church raised the handsome amount of $60,000 within the weekend. They also came forward to build a new shelter at Martha’s Village and Kitchen in Indio so as to solve the homeless problem of the valley.



La Quinta, 74 year-old, who has been coming to Sacred Church from last three years said, ‘To think there’s people in this country that are sleeping in the elements and on the dirt - it’s deplorable. If we can help, we want to do so.”
