All through out the world, Child trafficking trade is growing alarmingly: laws have been laid down but god knows for whatever reason this scalding matter still persists in a lot many countries.
Africa is one among those countries where child trafficking is posing to be a national threat.
In the wake of such a grave danger, a meeting was organized in Gabon’s capital Libreville wherein representatives from the Central and West African region gathered for a discussion concerning the formation of a joint accord that will be launched to fight against the child traffickers.
One positive thing out of this entire chaotic situation is the fact that all the neighboring states are providing huge chunk of assistance to as many child victims as possible.
The meeting was organized jointly by ILO, UNICEF and UNODC. One single aim of the meeting was to draft an accord wherein 26 countries of Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) will sign the draft and make a vow to launch a drive against child trafficking.
