According to a study conducted by the Center of Concern for Child Labor (CCFCL), girls under 14 years of age constitute 30 percent of 900,000 prostitutes in India.
It was also estimated that in the coming years, the situation could become worse if the rehabilitation is not provided to the ‘retired’ prostitutes, who drag children in this profession as the source of income.
