In a study carried out by Harvard Law School reveals that the children who come all the way to US in search of some kind of security which they hardly receives from their parents, are ultimately having to face the unwelcoming response in the country.

Nearly 8,000 children turned out in US in the year 2003 all alone, but they were at risk of being sexually exploited and abused, as they had no one to look after them.

According to Jacqueline Bhabha, lecturer at the Harvard Law School, these children, instead of getting any sort of sympathy, often have to go through the pain of physical abuse. The treatment meted out on them is far more degrading than even that to adult immigrants.
