The plight of child soldiers worldwide tells the same story. Since they are forced to drop out from school at a very early age and join the armed groups, they hardly have any chance of getting a job when they grow up.
Young boys who took up guns during the Taliban regime are finding it hard to adjust in the peaceful environment now.
Playing with gun is their forte, but now they have no other skills that can feed them. Ultimately, some embraces death due to hunger, while other gets involved in dingy jobs.
However, to help the thousands of such child soldiers in Afghanistan, UNICEF has launched many programs, during which these vulnerable children will be taught to earn money, by using their own skills.
Nearly 34 young men and boys are already going through a sewing training session, wherein they are learning how to sew clothes and other items with the help of manual machines.
