Children are the most valuable part of society. The people of the countries which are still coping with war like situation know better what real meaning of living hell is? We can’t judge their day to day problems, suffering and issues they are dealing with.
In the case of kids, the things become more complicated and tricky. In Iraq, hundreds of children killed by roadside bombs, during suicide attacks or attacks by the occupation forces and some who got injured in those incidents are left to die because of poor medical assistance.
US- led security forces might have killed thousands of terrorists, but they are directly or indirectly responsible for the death of thousands of children. The environment in Iraq is a real disaster. Protecting the environment and improving water quality and sanitation are crucial issues that need special attention by the government. The cases of congenital malformations and cancer among children are increased during the war due to exposure to chemicals and radioactive materials.
It is not surprising because war is triggering lots of unemployment and parents are unable to obtain proper food for their kids and this could be the primary reason behind the increasing level of malnutrition levels among Iraqi children. The whole responsibility to provide basic amenities in Iraq goes to US and their fellow nations. Perhaps their initiatives will help them to get support of common Iraqi.
