Four of the founding member of the civil society organizations has recently signed an agreement to form the Pakistan chapter of ‘Action Against Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation of Children.
The entire team under the supervision of Zia Ahmad Awan, who is one of the renowned human rights activist and expert on anti trafficking issues of Pakistan will work for the interest of safeguarding the children and women folks from getting sexually molested and abused.
The main motto of the organizations will be to fight against trafficking, commercial sexual exploitation and sexual abuse of women and children, unsafe migration and also the immediate actions that are to be taken while dealing with those issues. There will be an effective networking all throughout the process of this movement.
The four organizations that are actively working for this cause are Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI), Lawyers for Human Rights and Legal Aid (LHRLA), Journalists for Democracy and Human Rights (JDHR) and Pakistan Rural Workers Social Welfare Organisation (PRWSWO).
