Despite the 2006 World Cup craze high in the air, FIFA and International Labour Organization are collaborating on a joint mission to eliminate child labour from every nook and corner of the world.
With June 12 being celebrated as the ‘World Day Against Child Labour’, FIFA is all set to wave a red card campaign against the burning child labour problem as a part of the events organized worldwide.
Many programmes such as ‘TV specials, march against child labour and awareness events’ will be kicking off in nearly 100 nations.
The message behind the entire event is to make sure that children get to enjoy the happiness of childhood irrespective of their caste, creed, religion, and status.
