In order to tackle with child abuse a protection unit for safeguarding the child is recently opened in Glasgow. Marie Valente, head, of the child protection unit of NHS Greater Glasgow said that earlier the staff were not that aware of how to handle a child who is abused or sexually assaulted.

The new unit that is launched will provide the staff worker with an efficient and dedicated child protection team who will educate them about all the necessary process that is to be followed while dealing with an abused child. The staff will now know how to tackle a child who is at great danger.

Another scheme is launched as well to deal with the emergency accidents and to deal with the child who are having suspicious injuries.

The staff members will also be given special training on how to help out the physically challenged children’s.
