Despite the fact that legal laws are imposed against child abuse, the tragic plight never ends. Recently, a report released by the Human Rights watch organisation in Spain states that the lives of nearly hundreds of children who have migrated from Africa to Spain is in great danger of being abused.
All these children’s are lodged in four different migrant detention centers in the Canary Islands. Day in and day out, their lives are under threat because they are not only verbally abused, but also sexually exploited.
With no authorities around to save them from this impending danger, every single moment they are being tortured and badly bashed up by the staff members of the detention centers as well their peers too. One of the boys was taken by a staff member to the shower and beaten up almost to death - it was blood all over his face and body. How can anyone be so cruel?
Every year, 1000 of such children, with dreams in their eyes travel all the way to Canary Island in the hope of making it big. Unfortunately, once they see the naked truth, they could do nothing but to give up to the circumstances. Worst of all is that they are being locked up in the detentions centers and abused exorbitantly for no reason at all.
So far, no attention is being paid to this rampant crisis. One might say, lack of due importance by the concerned authority in power is further aggravating the entire situation.
