Children of Nithari village are no more embedded in the sheath of fear which they were witnessed to, a few months ago. They have come out of their cocoons and have chosen to play and speak about it openly.

The kids have exploded the stereotypical by instead of burying the issue they are surfacing it with the help of a street play.

Play performer Soni says,

Our play says talks about how he caught them and how he killed the girls.

NGO SAKSHAM in collaboration with an activist’s theatre group, Pandies is being instrumental in voicing their opinions.

Pandies director Sanjay Kumar holds the view,

The immediate response is fear, self agitation, every child was feeling guilty but we want to tell the children that its not their fault its ours.

Saksham is further bolstering the children with self confidence so that they are able to fight back effectively, when caught in any kind of troublesome situation.

The play became a mode of venting out the submerged feelings for the children and simultaneously, it made the spectators to ponder upon the issue.

And it’s through endeavors like these that these children will ensure that incidents like the one which occurred in Nithari, will not happen again.
