Indonesia, a country worse affected by Tsunami. Though two years have passed after the smacking of the tidal wave but people are still not able revive their old life style.
The government has allocated them places for residing however they are no more than crowded quarters.
Consequent upon which, the parents prefer sending their children to a near by orphanage where at least the living conditions are such that they don’t have to worry about their care and education.
It is the orphanage that is providing them with all the amenities better than what they could get at home.
Apriliya Adisaputra, an eight-year-old boy who is living in one such orphanage in Aceh, Indonesia, reveals how his parents asked him to live here, as this would help him in making more friends.
Though at first, he didn’t the idea as it would mean separation from his mother but then he had no option than to accept the plan.
Like Apriliya there are other cases as well in Ache itself where parents themselves are enlisting there children to orphanages.
The head of social affairs at the BRR - Jakarta’s department for the reconstruction of Aceh, Delsey Ronni, said that enough funds are pouring in for working of orphanages and the vulnerable children are getting double subsidy as those living with their families.
