Professor Adrian Angold from Duke Medical Centre, currently in press, has discovered that one in every 10 children aged two to five, suffer from psychiatric illness.
Due to the failure in the early detection of the problem among the children is causing unnecessary distress and suffering. The statistics came to light only after the survey conducted by the Priory Group over 1,000 young people aged 12-19 years. It was found that one in five teenager have harmed themselves purposely at least once in their life time.
Hence it is very essential to treat these disorders in babies or in infants rather then waiting till childhood or adulthood, which will be too late to cure a problem.
