Due to the harmful nature of junk food in the school cafeterias: but who will stop the junk food ads that are aired in various TV channels?
According to a recent research carried out by the Cancer Council of New South Wales, the junk food outlets are following a different strategy of targeting the children to boost up their sales. Over 80% of the junk food ads are edited keeping in mind the children consumers.
By doing this, they are openly breaching the standard codes laid down for the children television. Kathy Chapman, one of the research members says everyone’s liabilities lies towards protecting their child from such ads, since the rate of children suffering from obesity is daily breaking new records.
