Elizabeth Warnock Ferena in her book, Children in the Muslim Middle East, has presented 41 short pieces, which talk about various problems that the children residing in the area between Morocco and Afghanistan have to face.
Various debatable issues, like female genital mutilation (FGM), participation of girls in combat operations, etc., has been raised in this book. Besides, it also highlights the fact that there are many, who do not have even proper house to live in, and around 3,500 children die each day from various diseases.
