With the Maoist rebel groups tapping more power day by day, the future of the Nepali children are at stake. Caught up between the ongoing conflict of the Nepal government and the rebels, children are missing their education.
Every other day, the nation is paralyzed by either a strike or a wild demonstration and this is directly affecting the studies of the children. It is the call of the hour that the government decides to curb down the unrest before it is too late to get things undone.
Recently, a child rights organization has claimed that the rebel groups youth wing is using more than 1,000 school students for demonstration and public meeting but the authority have never stopped them from using children as the tool.
However, the latest convention organized by the Nepal national free students union-revolution have got the attention of a child right organization who have shown great offence at the schools across the nation close down due to its students attending the programme.
It is not only a matter of blocking the child’s progress but beyond it, the case is pure violation of child rights.
Now it all depends on the Nepal Government and King Gyanendra as to what measures they are going to implement to safeguards the interest of the schoolchildren’s.
