Why does is always has to a child who faces abuse? Whether he is an orphan, a school child or a wonder kid like ‘Budhia’ the marathon child king of India, there are culprits in the so-called cultured society, who under the mask of a civilized person tries to fall heavy on the innocent kids.
A shocking fact came to light, when the kid hero of India, Budhia Singh from the state of Oriya lifted the curtain from the sour life-story that he had to share with the world.
Budhia became a national treasure, when he proved his mettle by his applauding talent of making his way to the record books, yet his celebrity status and his days of joy started taking a horrid turn when his mentor Biranchi Das started abusing him physically.
Kids of his age might have kept quite out of fear, but thankfully, at last Budhia came out live on record through a TV channel in Oriya. His allegation reads thus: -
“Sir (Biranchi) has been beating me since a long time and did not feed me properly.’
I must say the mentor has the audacity to shun any such allegations. Biranchi reportedly denied all the charges against him and said that the story is framed. During an interview by PTI he said that, “Can you believe that I can torture the boy whom I have been trying to build up?”
Biranchi has swung into the attacking mode and said that it is Sukanti Singh, Budhia’s mother who is being instigated by the villagers. He stands by what he says. Though he also said that Budhia would definitely take part in the walkathon event.
Well, however his sudden withdrawal from the post of Budhia’s Trust as a managing trustee lives behind many loose ends.
Currently both Budhia and his mother are lodged in a slum center, but the future of this child still remains uncertain.
