Namibian government has dropped its plan of legalizing adoption. Health Minister Libertina Amathila said that when 99 percent of the Namibian public is against legalizing adoption, then he is left with no choice, then to respect the wishes of the people.

Though the Church leaders who were supporting the Minister’s decision, were happy with the announcement but abortion advocates are upset and condemn government for the false tabulation of the public opinion.
