Children

Study conducted by the National Centre for Social and Economic Modelling (Canberra University) reports that within the territory of Australia, the children of Queensland and Tasmania are the most disadvantaged ones.

The extent of disadvantages, however, varies from one place to the other. The report is complied based on the financial condition, education, housing tenure, computer usage etc.

Nevertheless, those children who are within the cities are in far better positions than those living in the outskirts. The children living in the bush are more likely to be disturbed due to growing social exclusion.

Nearly a quarter of Queensland children are disadvantaged and three-south in Tasmania. The aim behind the study, says head Ann Harding, is to determine in which part of the country, the highest number of disadvantaged children lives, so that appropriate measure is taken to help them overcoming their difficulties.
