The steep rise of sexual violence against the Kenyan children calls for immediate action from the government.
An estimated record by the UNICEF sources states that the future of children is unpredictable as they are suffering from abuse ranging from physical, mental, and even rapes.
More than 89% rape cases are on record with the UNICEF and all of them are committed by the family members and the relatives of the girl.
The Kenyan government is taking the challenge in its stride. It is launching a drive to wipe out abuse completely from the nation. In the launch party held in its capital Kiberia, the 11-year-old child guest hogged the lime light when she openly voiced her thought:
‘Stop this violence against us because we are tomorrow’s leaders’.
Cynthia Kabata further said:
‘Parents, teachers and brothers all violate children, especially girls’.
The courage and outspokenness of this bold girl forced everyone to give her a standing ovation of applause.
Kenyan government, along with UNICEF, religious groups, private sector, and the civil society is aiming at collecting an amount of $1.4 million to help the helpless children and women.
