When we were in school we thought that it was the most frightening moment of our life: whereas today we feel just the opposite. Seeing the heavy workload of the school children’s today I am just forced to think, how come they manage so many activities in such a small age??
As admitted by one of the top most Britt Exam official, the amount of pressure related to exams has become so much so that the children are facing great difficulty in maintaining a proper balance.
Chief executive, Ken Boston of Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA), is hell bent on cutting down the tests that these students are almost forced to take.
As said by Boston: ‘The assessment load is huge,’ ‘it is far greater than in other countries and not necessary for the purpose. We are pushing for the overall burden of assessment to be reduced.’
The number of hours spend by the students will be cut down from 10.5 hours to 7 hours at max.
