UNICEF reports that nearly thousands of children in Sri Lanka are rendered homeless due to the growing violence and killing.
Worst of all is those children caught up in the raging violence of the Trincomalee District, which took away the innocent lives of six children and the rest with serious causalities.
Many families have now no shelter as they have moved out of their places and stopped their daily livelihood business forced by the frequent demonstration of violence.
Almost nine kids are killed in many other districts of the nation according to UNICEF. Many have lost their lives in shootouts.
In fact, many kids are still going through the trauma of the brutal killings. What is the use of such violence when the life of the future generation is in danger?
