Human trafficking these days has become a major issue worldwide. It is countries like Africa that falls under the highly afflicted category.
Young girls from Africa are being smuggled to Britain by some unscrupulous individuals, and they are intentionally ‘impregnated’ so that they meet the eligibility criteria for the council flats.
As per reports from BBC, Debbie Aruyo who works for the ‘Africans Unite Against Child Abuse’ said that African girls as young as 12 to 16 years of age are being forced into this trade.
Majority of these unfortunate girls are being send on their own to UK and kept under the care of council before they are being used for sexual exploitations. This is not the end of the woes of young girls! After the flats are being attained, they are forcefully dragged in to the business of prostitution — thereby living them with no other options.
With the shocking revelation of this kind of incidents taking place frequently, the Common home affairs department is taking up the responsibility of checking on the immigration control.
