The number of overweight kids between 11 to 15 years old in UK has been shot to double within a decade. According to a recent government survey between 1995 and 2004 the number of overweight children rose from 14 to 24 per cent in case of boys and 15 to 26 percent in case of girls.

The survey also indicated that the increased rates of obesity is not only restricted to children but with teenagers as well despite the government’s various desperate attempts to keep it restricted.

However, the government endorses that fact that more is required in this direction to check increasing obesity among kids. The government has already pledged that it intends to halt increase the childhood obesity by the year 2010.
