The abduction of young children by the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) in Uganda is creating chaos in the society. Despite several appeal made by the human right groups, and children rights organization, the process of abduction is not coming to a halt.
Seeing the never-ending crisis, UN’s Undersecretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, Jan Egeland has urged the LRA leaders to release the children as soon as possible.
According to the records, the rebel groups hold an estimated number of nearly 25,000 children since the last 19 years, and all these young kids are waiting to taste the waters of freedom.
