The United Nations Children’s Fund declared that if we are to struggle to protect the innocent children’s from getting sexually assaulted, the birth certificate will play a very important role in the matter.

The certificate not only will help in safeguarding the rights of the child but will also be crucial in fighting the poverty worldwide.

As said by Rima Salah, Deputy Executive Director, UNICEF, if a child doesn’t have a proper registration he is very much vulnerable to be looked down by the society and this will lead to a hazardous life.

Due to the lack of authenticated birth registration procedures more than 10 millions children’s who are born this year will be off the official records, which mean they are non-existent.

Many agencies have admitted that though lot of work is done still there are many departments which need lot of extra effort to meet the current demand. As for now, the aim of UNICEF is to ensure free registration and a free birth certificate for each and every child.
