UNICEF Oman has launched its campaign on HIV/AIDS titled ‘Unite for Children, Unite Against AIDS’, from 1st December, with the aim to protect the children against the deadly virus.
As part of the campaign UNICEF Oman has organized today at noon, a campaign titled ‘Get Tested’, with support of Dr Ahmed bin Abdulqadir Al Ghassani, undersecretary for health affairs at the Ministry of Health.
In order to remove the stigma and shame attached with HIV/AIDS, Ghassani and the UN staff will undergo test for HIV. The step will surely create awareness among the people in generating HIV/AIDS free environment.
