The main objective of the child activist and advocates is to protect the right and welfare of the children. They stand as the ‘pressure group’ working for the upliftment of the children, so as to improve their living standard.

The United Nations Charter on the Rights and Welfare of children has strongly stood against the ill-treatment of children and has asked the people to respect the rights of the children. Though it is very true that such type of calls do not have much impact in a society, which is suffering from poverty, AIDS, under development and other odds of the societies, prevalent in the third world.
