Bush administration has made a move- that aim at helping families and school groups- according to which, children under fifteen would be, exempted from furnishing passport to the authorities while entering the country.
The new proposal would be implemented from January 2008 onwards. According to which, children younger then 15 would be allowed to cross the borders at land and sea entry points with certified copies of their birth certificates rather than passports. However, children entering by air will still be required to show passports.
