As per the study conducted by the scientist from St. Louis University has discovered that the children in Peru La Oroya have high level of toxic heavy metals such as arsenic and lead in their body.
The study also highlighted that 97 percent of the children under the age of six have high levels of lead component in their blood. Around 18 percent of the children were detected of having high level of arsenic in their blood while 1 percent of them are detected of having high level of cadmium.
