Flashlights yesterday highlighted the plight of the homeless children, in a vigil sponsored by the Covenant House at Fort Lauderdale’s Holiday Park.
Paula Tibbetts, spokesman for Covenant House in Fort Lauderdale, said that the 15th annual vigil is an ‘international observance’. He also said that there are so many children who do not have any family and thus they feel themselves worthless. The main aim of the event is to help out these children so as to make them to believe in themselves. Fort Lauderdale shelter, in the past 20 years has helped out 25,000 children.
