It is mostly found that the child abuse victims find it difficult to disclose about the sexual activity. It is because the children fear that the consequence of disclosure will be far worse than being victimized again. The child may fear guilty for the consequences to the perpetrator and more then that they have a feeling that something is wrong with them, considering abuse to be their fault.



Young girls who are sexually abused develop eating disorder and are mostly emotionally upset. They also tend to exhibit perfectionist tendencies and want to have thinner bodies than the girls who had not been abused.
